At each round, we are asking some of the top riders what the whole WorldSBK scene means to them. Professionally, personally, in any way of thinking. This time around we have one rider from an island far to the north and one more local rider in WorldSSP for the first time this year.

En cada ronda preguntamos a algunos de los mejores pilotos qué es lo que significa el ambiente del WorldSBK para ellos a nivel profesional, personal, en cualquier sentido. En esta ocasión, contamos con un piloto de una isla muy al norte y otro piloto local en WorldSSP por primera vez este año.
Jeremy Alcoba- Kawasaki WorldSSP Team
A new recruit from the MotoGP paddock for 2025, Alcoba is the lone Kawasaki Ninja 636 WorldSSP rider on the grid this year. He has completely fresh eyes on his new racing environment, but has already made some keen observations.
“ I can say that WorldSSP is more familiar, and there is less pressure- but for sure you have pressure because it is a world championship, and I am in an official manufacturer team- so you still feel that,” stated Jeremy earlier in the season.“ But, what I felt really quickly- maybe also because of my team- but I felt really at home and really good with all the staff. They made me more calm, to see everything in a more relaxed way. Looking in the paddock, it looks more normal, more old-school, more racing. The other one is more show- and that is nice, because there are big manufacturers, big tracks, big everything. But here it feels like when I go training with friends, it makes me happy and comfortable with everything. When I ride the bike, from the beginning, I felt that this is my championship, I can say. I feel good and relaxed.”
Recién llegado del paddock de MotoGP para 2025, Alcoba es este año el único piloto de Kawasaki Ninja 636 WorldSSP en parrilla. Tiene una visión completamente nueva de su nuevo entorno de competición, pero ya nos ha hecho algunas observaciones bastante pertinentes.
“ Puedo decir que WorldSSP es más familiar y hay menos presión, pero sin duda la hay porque es un campeonato mundial y estoy en un equipo oficial, así que se sigue notando”, declaró Jeremy a principios de temporada.“ Pero lo que sentí rápidamente, quizás también por mi equipo, fue que estaba como en casa, y muy bien con toda la gente del equipo. Me dieron tranquilidad, me permitieron verñp todo con más calma. Si miras el paddock se ve más normal, más clásico, más de competición tradicional. Por otro lado, hay más espectáculo, y eso está bien, porque hay grandes fabricantes, grandes circuitos, todo es grande. Pero aquí, cuando voy a entrenar con amigos, me siento feliz y cómodo con todo. Cuando me subí a la moto, puedo decir que sentí que este era mi campeonato ya desde el principio. Me siento bien y relajado.”
