There are three locations in which reatilers can choose to place their stores depending on where best suits them: in-town, out-of-town and local. An example of an in-town location is a shopping centre; in these locations it is common to find multiple retailers as well as specialist and department stores. In-town locations attract near by people as well others who travel to reach the location. Shopping centres are a central location for retailers as the are commonly well know and the footfall is high. Out-of-town locations are places where people have to travel to to reach. For example, a retail park. Retail parks are most commonly home to large retailers and food outlets. These locations attract a large volume of people; it is important for them to accomdate for many cars as people have to travel to reach them. Also the only types of stores that locate in retail parks are multiple stores. It is also common to find outlet stores located in these areas such as a Nike Outlet- an outlet store is a store that sells products at a discounted price. Retail
