1 - Introduction - Living like a real Christian JOY | Page 8
When we throw ourselves, at times like this, at the feet of a Sovereign God we will receive the
quietness in our spirit that Zephaniah is speaking about. I trust that this may be your
experience both today and as required in the years to come.
Prayer Thought: As you pray today won’t you reflect on the sovereignty of God and then
reassure yourself in the fact that whatever happens to you today has to fall within the “will of
God”. Then, as much as I say this, won’t you first ask yourself the question,“Is what I am going
through as a result of my sinfulness, or is this an extraordinary circumstance that is outside of
my human control?” If it is a result of sin in your life then confess it, take responsibility for your
sin and renew your relationship with God. If it is not as a result of your sin, then I pray that you
will receive the quietness in your spirit that will lead you to a place of incredible joy.
