grandfather,Saul, had possessed. We see goodness in Joseph’s life in his ability to forgive his brothers for what they had done to him. Goodness, people, is everywhere! Goodness is something that we see mostly every day. Many of us may even be the recipients of it, but I trust that we will all be the givers of goodness, not because it is just a good idea or makes us feel good, but simply because we are the recipients of God’s goodness and that needs to be shared with those around us. Prayer Thought: Today as you make your way through the day, won’t you take some time to reflect on the goodness of God towards you and the responsibility that you have to pass this goodness on to others. Won’t you pray today that God will open your eyes to opportunities where you could be the giver of goodness in whatever situation He puts you in. Be aware as you pray that goodness is only good because it involves a sacrifice. I pray that you and I will be courageous enough to make the sacrifice required. TUESDAY Matthew 25 v 14 – 30 Statement number two (in light of statement number one): “GOOD” HAS LOST ITS SENSE OF WONDER. I find it sad to think that the word “good” could well be replaced with simply the word “nice”.
