The church should be “music” to God’s ears and when every individual plays
his or her part, it becomes pleasant and most pleasing to God.
The final appeal today is this: unless the inclusion of your note (which is
your gift) is being played, the music that comes to God from the Norwegian
Settlers Church will never be complete! My prayer for you is that you will
find your gift and exercise it so that we, as a church, can be a pleasing
song in the ears of God.
The reading in Psalm 98 v 1 says, “Sing a new song to the Lord.” Note, if
you will, that it is a new song. I don’t know about you, but I am tired of the
old song! Won’t you join us as a church as we seek to play a new song to
the Lord, one that is more complete and diverse than the old one? Won’t
you today commit yourself to God in a deeper way, determining to find
your Spiritual gifts and using them passionately to God’s glory, the benefit
of the church body and the extension of His Kingdom?
