face-to-face) life on this earth would take on a completely different meaning. If we could just realise that life on this earth is but a temporary assignment, and is just a dress rehearsal for the life to come, all our complexities and problems would look so different. Our value system would change and even as I say these things, I just know that having this vision of God could impact your life more than any other single thing. In Matthew 17 you see the impact of this principle upon the lives of Peter, James and John. The three chosen disciples were taken to the top of the hill where in the presence of Elijah and Moses, Jesus was transfigured before them. I mentioned this in an earlier devotion, but I feel that it is so prevalent to the point I want to make: if you could interview any of these three disciples today and ask them what was the highlight of their time spent with Jesus on earth, I am sure that all three of them would have pointed to this occasion as being the one with the greatest meaning. For them to see Jesus in His transfigured form would have been something that would have impacted their lives incredibly. They would never have been able to leave that mountain having had experienced what they experienced and been the same people again. I know that this will never happen for us in the same format as it happened for them, but there is every possibility for you and me that through the Scriptures and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit a similar experience could be ours. The impact of seeing Jesus for who He is, will revolutionise your life as never before, I pray that this would happen for you and for me. Prayer Thought: As you pray today use your imagination and picture yourself with the disciples on that mountain. Their response to seeing Jesus like this was simply to worship Him. I hope this happens for you as well. Sunday Reading: Joshua 3 / II Timothy 2 v 20 – 21 Today I would like Ѽ
