What projects are you currently working on ? New construction of Marina Village Housing , a 160-unit affordable housing project in Suisun City ; Sonrisa Studio Apartments in Sacramento , the first project to break ground under Governor Newsom ’ s Order of Affordable Housing Development ; renovation of The Calms at Burgess Point in Benicia ; the AC Hotel Sacramento by Marriott in downtown Sacramento ; and full design / build services for the Hyatt House Hotel Vacaville .

What steps has Tricorp taken to stay competitive ? To overcome material volatility , we ’ ve taken a very aggressive approach with procurement . We accelerate project buyout to lock in pricing wherever possible , work with our trade partners on early material deliveries , and have even gone so far as to lease warehouse space to store materials to ensure that we have what we need when we need it . … Over the next year or so , we ’ re expecting the market to stabilize and the supply chain to normalize . … To overcome the challenges in the labor market , we ’ ve focused inward on the growth and development of our own people . We provide one-on-one employee development that is specifically tailored to the individual employee to help them achieve their personal and professional goals .

What projects are you currently working on ? Our MEP construction teams are months away from wrapping up our largest project in company history for UC Davis . Referred to as “ The Big Shift ” by UC Davis , this project will lay the groundwork for reducing the university ’ s reliance on fossil fuels and will immediately decrease water and energy use to support their mission to become carbon neutral by 2025 . Mark III ’ s scope of work includes the four-mile replacement of 50-plus-year-old underground pipe , new construction of two new mechanical yards on campus , and the refurbishing of three existing skids to support the central plant and Ecology building . We hit all three marks — happy team , happy customer and profitable project — for this two-phase , $ 36.5 million project .
What are your keys to success ? Communicate , communicate , communicate . Overcoming challenges these past years have boiled down to coming together as a team , listening to the opinions of all , and deciding on the best course of action . No single person can fight a battle alone — as a team , we can create a plan of attack and execute it as a unit . Transparency and clear communication to everyone on the team is key to combat fear and rumors . Our leadership team has an open-door policy and we share the good , the bad and the ugly with our team , leaning into a “ knowledge is power ” mentality .
