Tim Kunstel , senior analyst in financial planning and analysis at Aerojet Rocketdyne , provides overhead and functional business management support for the leading aerospace and defense organization .

A 2019 MBA graduate from William Jessup University , Kunstel relies on that solid education as well as Jessup ’ s leadership and ethics courses . He says , “ Those courses help with interaction and decision making — both critical to my work now .”

“ I ’ m in a very good spot to be employed by big companies ,” Mota says , adding that he had three final interviews scheduled with leading technology companies at the end of the summer .

Kelly Rule , who graduated in 2020 with a public policy degree , is now working her dream job at the State Capitol as a staffer for the Republican caucus while pursuing her MBA at Jessup . “ I felt like I finally found somewhere where I kind of belonged and I felt like I was part of a wonderful community there ,” Rule says . “ One thing I really enjoyed about the public policy program at Jessup is that it ’ s a very unbiased approach to understanding politics . My professors weren ’ t necessarily parading around one point of view . It was usually pretty balanced and that was something I really appreciated .”

Even though Jackson refers to Jessup as a “ conservative evangelical school ,” he says he wants the school ’ s graduates to understand that people at opposite ends of the political spectrum can disagree but still have productive conversations without being destructive . “ We want to see our graduates carry values — values like love and honesty and hard work , truthfulness , values like reconciliation ,” he says . “ We don ’ t want to see people divided . We live in such a divided and polarized world that we really want our graduates to be reconcilers , to be encouragers , to be people of hope and faith .”

About 80 % of Jessup graduates stay within two hours of the school after receiving their degrees , which creates a ripple effect in the area as graduates go on to enter the working world . Jackson says he is often asked what the school expects from its graduates and he has a ready answer : “ Nothing less than changing the world .”
