“ We like to have that family feel — people call us Mom and Dad ,” says Karoline Platt , co-owner of Land Ocean with husband Mark . After traveling the country with their two kids for Mark ’ s career working for various restaurant groups , the family settled in Folsom and opened their first restaurant , Sienna , in El Dorado Hills in 2010 . They were then inspired to try out an upscale-casual , modern take on a traditional steakhouse and Land Ocean was born . They now own a total of six restaurants , including a second Sienna in Roseville and Land Ocean locations in Folsom , Roseville , Reno and Boise , Idaho .
