Part of Separovich / Domich ’ s business model is public sector office buildings . What trends are you seeing in that market ?
Everyone in the business is trying to evaluate this whole concept of remote working and the impacts it has on the general office market . The initial concept ( was that it would ) finish the office market and lead to a tremendous amount of unused space . However , things have progressed throughout the year . People like ( remote working ) — it ’ s easier and there ’ s no commute — but the downside is that there ’ s no mentoring or collective working going on . When you ’ re around people , you feed off each other … When people do come back ( to the office ), they ’ re not going to want to be jammed in cubicles . ( I think there will be demand for ) new , open-plan office structures that will take a lesser amount of people and spread them out so they ’ re not elbow to elbow … There won ’ t be a massive dropoff in space when the workforce starts to come back because companies will instead want to ( use that space to ) expand employee breathing room .
