Gerloff remains with the newly official Kawasaki WorldSBK Team for a second year, again running the only official WorldSBK entry on the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR. Garrett is still looking for that elusive first WorldSBK race win, after taking eight podiums in his Yamaha and BMW days. He’ s been around the global Superbike scene for longer than many may think, and in 2026 will quickly take part in his 200th WorldSBK race. With his new / old crew chief Les Pearson in his garage again this season, could be a pivotal one for WorldSBK’ s lone American rider.

LORENZO BALDASSARRI
Another rider in the 2026 intake with a career spectrum as wide as the skies, Baldassarri returns to the WorldSBK fray inside a proven winning Independent team.‘ Balda’ had a strong start to his international career, winning the Rookies Cup in 2011. He would win a noteworthy five races in all during his Moto2 career, and then four WorldSSP races to finish runner-up in the 2022 WorldSSP season. A jump to a WorldSBK ride inside the GMT94 squad in 2023 proved difficult, but after scoring podiums in MotoE racing in 2025, a strong Ducati Independent ride inside WorldSBK is a good place for Lorenzo to be.
