Letter from the President
Dear Valued Chamber Members ,
The Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce has held an important role in the community for over 60 years . Our mission has always been to maintain a strong partnership with businesses and the communities in order to promote , support , and enhance business prosperity , civic vitality , and the quality of life in Dakota County .
Maureen Scallen Failor President
Whether it is a new commercial or residential development , professional services , restaurant , hotel , or retail , a city or county cannot function without its businesses that provide jobs and promote a thriving economy . In turn , a vital community helps businesses prosper . Good working relationships are at the heart of any successful business or community . Let us continue to build those connections to keep this success going .
The year 2021 will prove to be transformational for the Chamber , with influential programming , engaged committees , and business recovery efforts for our members . We completed our Transit Opportunities study in 2020 and will start our work on phase II in 2021 to ensure these opportunities are implemented . As Dakota County grows in population and economic development , the need for future workforce and housing will be critical to success of our communities . We will be advocating for these new initiatives in 2021 .
Being the voice of business on local , county , and state issues will be a focus and priority . Membership growth and engagement will also be very important for the success of the Chamber .
It is an honor to be the President of the Dakota County Regional Chamber and I look forward to a propitious , engaging , exciting year for all . On behalf of the staff at the Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce , we want to thank you for the continued support of our organization .
Warm Regards ,
Maureen Scallen Failor President
