INTRODUCING
JACOB MOORE
Jacob is the Production Manager at Optomen, and has worked there for almost 4 years!
To him, Black History Month can be summarised with the word ‘pride’, and when asked what Black History Month meant to him and why it’s important to celebrate he stated, “It’s an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate black excellence, to educate ourselves and those around us, to discuss and raise awareness of issues that affect the black community to work towards finding a resolve and to give a platform where those from the black community can be unapologetically black without any recourse.”
Here he tells us the barriers he has faced due to his ethnicity and why building an anti-racist society is important.
