What do you enjoy about your job?
I love the chance to be creative and work collaboratively with other people to make shows. I love learning more about the bits of the television industry which I don’t know already. I also really like building a team of people to work with. I think crewing up is one of my favourite parts of the job as well as discovering new talent.
What are your top tips for Black talent in TV to get ahead in the industry?
Belief, you’ve got to have great belief and a great work ethic to get along in this industry. As Black people we are sometimes not conditioned to believe we can achieve anything we want because we don’t see people like us in a lot of the top roles. Don’t let that hold you back. You can still have belief and remain humble.
