China to Manchester

SEA

When the garments reach the port again they will need to be security checked and be prepared for their three week travel via the Red Sea. Each box is stored in a container which is around the size of an average room!

When the goods reach the UK they will have to go through customs to ensure that they're safe to bring into the country. This will happen for both Air and Sea freight.

They boxes of garments are unloaded and put onto lorries and taken from the airports and docks to the warehouse in Manchester. The process will be identical to when products from the UK arrive there.

Products are distributed from the warehouse in exactly the same way as the process on the previous page. Systems need to be managed throughout this whole process to ensure everything arrives as and when it should - just to keep everyone happy!
