HISTORY

NFP was founded in 1983 as a private 501(c) (3) foundation established to provide charitable support to the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association (PSNA). NFP is committed to bolstering public and private confidences by improving its structure, revitalizing processes, and enhancing fundraising. Through diligent work, NFP acquired the Seal of Accreditation for Standards of Excellence from the Pennsylvania Association of Non-profit Organizations (PANO). With these standards, donors, corporations, and foundations know that NFP meets their needs through ethical practices and accountability.

VISION

Ensure nurses for tomorrow.

To be the premier charitable organization for professional nurses in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

MISSION

OUR BELIEFS

Nurses are pillars in our communities, viewed as the most trusted professionals in our nation. Having an adequate number of nurses improves the quality of life and patient care. We believe that qualified nursing students should have the financial and career resources to successfully complete their education. We look to experienced nurses to generate new knowledge through research. Those entrusted with nursing care have the right to expect qualified, caring nurses who uphold a strong code of ethics and responsibility.

our goal

NFP's goal is to advance the educational and professional standards of nursing and the nursing profession through:

1. Scholarships for study, instruction, research, and scholarly pursuits in nursing.

2. Financial support of PSNA's efforts to provide continuing education for PA's RN's and LPN's.

3. Operation support for NFP's daily work.
