This is why i decides yo study this major, because from any job position that i will get i will be able to make a social change and specially if we talk about the well being of the communities. When i received the piece that the hidromedic project had been selected as an exponent project i experimented a mix of excitment and gratitudes inside of my body.
The oportunity of contributing al desarrollo de la hidroponía en el cultivo de plantas medicinales doesn't only mean a personal achievement but a group one because behind this amazing project it is not only me, behind it you will find an organized team thatvis conformed by different members of the concejo comunitario, these people have been a fundamental part for this project to become true. This also represents the posibility to impacto positively on the well being of my community.
I'm pretty dure that i'm not the only one who is excited about to embark on this adventure that promises really significant outcomes. Hydroponics of medicinal plants in the black community of Tierra Baja is a project of social innovation that bets for the enforcement of our traditions, we're wishing to build a well structured model so that the others communities can apply it as well and with so contributing to a bigger change in the sustaniblity. This contribution from MinCiencias is a light that guides us to positive thing for "Mi territorio ancestral".
It all starts with a call from MinCiencias on August 10 of this year, the framework of the call was intended for projects that contribute to solving productivity problems in NARP communities.
HidroMedic participated in the topic of transformation and use of medicinal plants, since one of its main objectives is to produce and harvest medicinal plants, apart from that, with the organic principles of these plants create different derivatives such as; soaps, teas and creams, since they have healing power such as: Peppermint, although its common use is for cooking, it also serves to relieve headaches, reduce stress and relieve stomach upsets.
