Bellerophon appeared out of nowhere and tried to attack the monster from its back with a dagger again, but to no avail… The chimera began to sputter enormous fireballs at Pegasus, but this magnificent animal managed to escape them. Then, loathed, the chimera grabbed Bellerophon and his horse and tore them to death. It was so awful that it made my skin crawl.

After finishing, the monster turned and hastened towards me with widely opened jaws and massive, sharp claws. Thankfully, Achilles came to the rescue. He started shouting as loudly as possible and running as if Hades himself was chasing him. That gave me just enough time to get back on my feet. I started running towards Achilles with the intent of helping him fight the monster, but my feet, the feet that I had spent so many hours training to run faster than the wind, suddenly gave up at the sight of Achilles foot held up by the chimera’s teeth. Suddenly I felt like I'd been here before, but I couldn't do anything except watch the color drain from his face. That was when I froze, ready to face the fact that I had lost anew.
