Sacrificial

Freedom

Several years ago…

The Greek island of Rhodes was the place where they met, Amara and Hesperus. They were inseparable, like sand and water that fulfilled each other. They were both gods, but with different purposes in life, that’s what made them so different from each other. Hesperus was born to rule; he was devoted to the throne. While Amara was pure-hearted, she wanted justice and freedom, that’s what made Hesperus fall in love with her. Even though their parents knew what a huge burden it would be for both of them to love each other. But they didn’t care. After a while, they got married and had a child, a little girl that they named Selene. Everything was great and peaceful. Soon after Selene was born, Hesperus was to take over his father's throne. But the moment he sat on the throne, something had changed, he had changed. The only thing he still cared about was the power. Amara begged Hesperus to change his attitude and behavior, but his soul was long lost. It made Hesperus furious, so he sent Amara to the desert to die all alone. But she still had time to give Selene to her brother to hide from the king. However, it didn’t stop Amara, she had hope for Selene to make things right. So, she wrote her a story to be found years later...
