A RIVALRY BEGINS
Another chapter is set to be written in the 68 year rivalry between Parramatta and Manly.
Both sides entered the New South Wales Rugby League competition in 1947 with the rivalry exploding in the 1970’s.
Parramatta took out their first senior trophy in 1975, defeating Manly in the final of the Wills Cup.
They met again in the finals later that year with Manly ending Parramatta’s five game winning streak.
