Did I make references to real media products?
Goodwin further states there are often intertextuual references to media products like music videos. Our music video does in fact include references to real media products including Calvin Harris’s and Disciples’ music video for their single, “How Deep Is Your Love.”
My partner and I really liked how some of their scenes were edited together to present their female character in a chaotic situation due to love. This effect was created by the overlapping of different footage, edited in different colours, to create a ghost-like effect. Therefore, as we planned and took part in our editing process we were inspired by this music video to create a similar stylistic approach which helps to also infer that the loss of “desire” for the female character is chaotic.
