Q.15 How would you assess your current competences as an online/hybrid teacher?
Question 14 discovered VET teachers’ confidence in using some digital tools shown in Figure below. Tools that would enable collaboration and interaction, e.g. Zoom breakout rooms, and online whiteboards were not known or rarely used by the VET teachers.
It also shows that the participants would like to know more about using breakout rooms, the above-mentioned online boards and a video tool called Panopto.
2 or more years’ experience in online teaching increases the teachers’ confidence and competences in working in digital learning environments.
50 % reported having very good or fairly good competences for online teaching and 47% of them claimed to have poor competences.
There were no other statistically significant differences between gender, age or experience in teaching.
