This section of the report delves into the performance of education systems within the OECS region concerning student outcomes in both national and external examinations. Noteworthy aspects of this section encompass student achievements in national examinations at pivotal stages during primary school and in the subject areas chosen by students at CCSLC, CSEC, and CAPE levels. The data provides insights into student performance for individual Member States as well as the collective performance of the OECS region.
The following presents a summary of the data submitted by the OECS member states:
● At the primary school level, there was a notable discrepancy in the number of males assessed in reading and mathematics national examinations at grades 2, 4, and 6, compared to females.
● In CCSLC subjects such as English, Mathematics, Integrated Science, Social Studies, and Spanish, a combined competence and mastery level was achieved by over 70% of students. However, French lagged behind, with only 66% of students achieving competence and mastery levels combined in this subject.
