In six of the OECS Member States, 270 leaders hold a Degree in Education Leadership/ Administration. Disaggregated by primary and secondary institutions, the distribution is 47% and 53% respectively; which means that there are more qualified leaders at the secondary level than at primary level. Further analysis determined that at the primary level, females dominated as holders of a Degree in Education Leadership/Administration with 90%.  At the secondary level, there was a reduced gender gap between qualified leaders with males accounting for 29% and females 71%.

 As demonstrated in the diagram below, 47% leaders at the primary level and 53% leaders at the secondary level possess a degree in educational leadership/administration.
