GHOUL: Well James, if you didn’t like that (pulls out cigarettes and lighter), you’re going to hate this.

JAMES: I should’ve stayed at dad’s.

GHOUL (big puffs): Consider it payback for letting your band play in the bar.

JAMES: WHATEVER.(The sounds of traffic gets louder, and the woman becomes visibly concerned)

GHOUL: Hey slow down a bit, James.

JAMES: It’s getting real bad around here. Was there an accident or something?

GHOUL (sips drink): Well, just take it slow and-

(Stage cuts to black as a car crash is heard. Sirens echo lightly in the background as the crackles of a fire play in the black. The woman can be heard screaming)

GHOUL: Oh GOD! MY FACE, OH GOD HELP ME. JAMES, HELP ME OH GOD PLEASE HELP ME JAMES WAKE UP JAMES PLEASE WAKE UP.

(As the woman continues to scream, everything fades out, until the set lights STAGE LEFT and an older woman in her early 60s jolts out of bed, gasping and visibly sweating a little before immediately regaining composure. This woman is Ms. Ghoul, and has burns running down the left-side of her face, as well as an eyepatch. She is well built, especially for someone her age. Deep crimson hair with strands of white cover her face. The eyepatch itself has XVI written on it. The set then fades in and out of black showing Ghoul Getting ready for the day, which involves getting dressed in jeans and a black tank top, taking a swig of whiskey, putting on a red flannel, swig of whiskey, brushing teeth, swig of whiskey, and finally putting on a pair of romeos, and then a swig of whiskey. It should also be noted the room is no bigger than a large closet. It appears cramped, but Ms. Ghoul moves around it with relative ease. After tying up her hair, Ms. Ghoul leaves her room STAGE RIGHT, the lights go off in her room and light up a bar STAGE RIGHT, and she enters the bar. The bar is old fashioned, made in lacquered wood with maroon velvet to cover the seats. A short, plump old man sits at the bar, and appears to have been waiting for Ghoul. The lights outside suggest it’s about 5am in the summer)
