mother and father. But the made-up town was brighter, the people were more propitious and Storky's parents spent time with him as much as he wanted. Storky even had a pet whose species he would change depending on his mood that day. Everything in his “Happy place” seemed perfect. Everything except a few abnormalities. If Storky was to drift away too far, his world and everyone in it would get out of control and order. Everything that calmed him down before, would then become obscure and frightening, like on a bad drug trip. “The Happy place” would try to suck him into this new reality which now wouldn’t be as pleasant, since Storky wouldn’t have any control over anything, not even himself. Sadly, that is exactly what happened that year on the fourth of March.
At first, nothing seemed to be that much different than it usually is. The “Happy Place” looked and felt as happy as it always had been. It was a rather chilly Tuesday. The adults were driving to work while the children were playing with the half-melted snow on their way to school.
