RED is the new black

The February fashion week of 2015 showed lots of celebrities, youtubers and bloggers representing different brands and attending shows. Something that caught my attention however was the pattern, not only on the streets but on the runway as well, of the colour red.

Numerous amount of people who attended, known or unknown, were wearing a statement piece in their outfit that was a bright and bold red. We all know that this has been a trend before but this year it has been brought back into fashion in all kinds of ways. It usually takes six months to a year before the trends seen on the runway filter down to the high street but in more recent years it is now as short as three weeks, the reason being because the consumer got more demanding. But how is it that we, as consumers, are already on board with the designers before their new trends hit high street stores?

With the evolution of technology and the increasing demand from consumers for new information on the latest trends or what’s going to be in fashion next season, it’s no surprise that we are now catching on quickly. There will never be a time when we know exactly what we’re going to see on the runway and what new designs and idea’s designers are coming up with but we can take a pretty good guess at some of them.
