The girl was embarrassed because she knew about the rumours about the "witch". Surprised and scared, she burst out: 

“Sorry, I’ve made a mistake, I’ll leave now, just don’t turn me into a nasty frog!”

 "Ha ha ha, you're a funny girl!" the woman laughed defiantly.

 Jack at this time was sitting and watching the dialogue. After a short pause, during which the woman looked at the girl, she managed to exchange glances with the boy.  

“What’s your name?” - the witch asked. 

“Aaaaa… Ummm… Nuuuu… I'm Jenny…” the girl hesitated. 

at once. There was a pleasant scent in the room. The walls were purple. In the centre, there was a table with a crystal ball. The room was filled with vases and plant pots, and a collection of butterflies was settled on the lonely shelves.

The woman sat the girl at the table and began to tell fortunes to her:

“I can see an important prophecy for you. You will do something special. Perhaps this will help someone's fate. The only thing you need to find is a book called…” 

The candles went out abruptly and the session ended. The witch lit them again with a snap of her fingers. She tried to resume her divination.

“Hmm, Jenny? I feel a strong aura in you. If you wish I can tell fortunes. Do you want to try?” offered the woman.

Because Jenny was afraid, she agreed and nodded as a sign of approval. The woman took Jenny by the hand and led her into a dark room. As soon as they entered the room, all the candles were lit
