ministry. In all transparency, I doubted we would even be able to reach past $2,000 for gas money. What
started with a simple plan to raise gas money, ended up becoming a church-wide project to buy a car for
the ministry. Through this mission trip, I was allowed to physically see the fruits of our combined effort.
I was in awe when I witnessed the happiness in Pastor Chanthon’s and the church member’s faces and
their excitement in their plans for the truck. They were excited about being able to reach further villages
and visiting them frequently. They happily mentioned that it will be easier to transport church members
and heavier/bigger items now. Watching their excitement I thought to myself, who am I to doubt the Lord
almighty.
While in Cambodia a saying my youth pastor once mentioned repeatedly rang in my head, “When you
hit rock bottom know that God is the rock at the bottom.” God is with us no matter how big or small
our problems are. There’s still a lot of work to be done in Cambodia. As a visitor, God has revealed His
hand on this ministry. He has humbled me and made me a witness for His glaring presence in Cambodia.
