In Tianjin, “Week for Change” is a charity campaign
that Ivy Bilingual School Eco-city Campus and Eco-city
Campus (Hefeng Road) have been carrying out for many
years to help people in need. This year, they decided to
focus their effort on making a difference in their daily
routines, to uphold the virtues of safety and politeness.
They carried out “Six Actions”, which were: no riding
bicycles on campus, leaving campus hand in hand
with parents, being polite and greeting one another,
clearing plates, saving resources, and no arguing with
other children.
At Ivy MI Kindergarten Eco-city campus, the students
decided to run in their effort to raise funds. Through
their amazing effort, the students raised 12,915 RMB!
With this generous donation, the campus is supporting
several causes: they will support stray animals. provide
some financial support for sanitation workers, help
make the wishes of poor children come true, and will
support the formation of a “parent school” to help
parents learn new knowledge as well.
Ivy Schools Fall/Winter Edition 2018
Finally, students at Ivy Bilingual School Waterfront
campus hosted a flea market, and raised almost 3,500
RMB. All funds raised were donated to the “Seven-
Color Flower House Care Project”, an organization
that supports orphans and children with disabilities in
Tianjin.
The students were proud that they could help other
children. This event reflects our effort to always help
our children feel empowered.
