For our students at Ivy Bilingual Schools in Beijing,
they chose to run! Hosted at Daystar Academy Beigao
Campus on Tuesday October 16th, students from Ivy
Bilingual School Ocean Express Campus and Orchid
Garden Campus also gave their all by running their
hearts out. Despite the pollution which forced them to
run indoors, the change in location didn’t dampen their
enthusiasm one bit! That’s because they were trying
their best to help others in need.
On October 27th, China Charity Federation and Ivy
Academy Central Park Campus held “Love Under the
Blue Sky”, a charity donation and sales campaign,
at the central park of Xincheng International. The
campaign collected 75 kilograms in donated goods, and
close to 2,000 RMB in cash, all donated to China Charity
Federation to help babies with congenital heart disease
in rural families in Guizhou.
In order to develop the virtues of “humanity, charity
and devotion” of kids, and help students experience the
joy of giving, Ivy MI Kindergarten Lijing Campus carried
out a flea market – “Passing love with little hands
• Fill the world with love” on the outdoor playground
in mid-September. The flea market raised a total of
over 1,500 RMB, and was donated to Chaoyang District
Charity Association. Let’s accumulate our kindness into
an ocean of love.
This time, OE Campus raised over 11,000 RMB for
Children’s Hope to provide medical treatment for
children with disabilities and purchase material goods
for them. Meanwhile, students from OG Campus joined
forces to walk, jog, or run, and were able to raise over
6,000 RMB to support Our Learning House (仁育苑学习
中心), a learning center for children with disabilities.
On October 18th, Ivy Academy Sanlitun Campus also ran
at Daystar Academy Beigao Campus, and were able to
enjoy crisp, beautiful blue skies on the day of their run.
The parents also came out to support their children at
the run. In the end, they raised close to 20,000 RMB to
help a child receive a liver transplant.
Look at how energetic and excited everyone was! What
a wonderful job everyone did, well done!
