ES BEIGAO CORNER
How did you feel about being an emcee? Were you nervous?
“I think that I enjoyed it very much, because I
think it was better than when I did it in first grade.
When I was the emcee in first grade, we needed to
memorize all the words. But in fourth grade, we
could also look at the words we needed to say, and
also talk on our own. I’ve had a lot of chances to
be an emcee for different things, so don’t really
feel nervous at all now!” “I was kind of nervous the whole time. Before we
went on the stage my hands were full of sweat and
were that way all the way through the assembly!
When I said that I was nervous, the teachers and
my friends encouraged me not to think too much.
By the middle of the assembly, I felt a lot better.
I think being an emcee was a fantastic experience
for everyone.”

Were you proud of it and why?
“I was proud about the speech because it was my
first time being an emcee and I felt I was quite good
at it. I also enjoyed talking in front of hundreds of
people and telling them the main things we are
going to do for the month. Another reason is that
it also seems like I was an important person in the
school because when I was talking everyone was
super quiet. So I enjoyed it very much!”
Would you do it again?
“Yes, maybe I would. It did take a lot of time to
practice in the morning, and the dress rehearsal
felt a little strange because there was no audience.
But I did have fun with the experience!
