I.6 6.I The Ibrahim Abu-Lughod Institute for International Studies was established in 1998 to grant a master's program in International Studies. The institute was named in honor of the late Prof. Ibrahim Abu-Lughod (one of the most prominent academics and contemporary thinkers). The Institute combines, through its work and through its cross- disciplinary master's program, between politics, diplomacy and foreign policy. It also combines knowledge, research and leadership to promote and engage various actors in constructive dialogues, in an effort to improve decision- making at the level of international relations. The Institute is committed to being a reference for decision makers in particular, and the public at large, providing unbiased research and providing interactive platforms that encourage discussion of the most important developments in international relations that affect the Palestinian cause.
