Faculty of Law and Public Administration was established
in 2004 in response to the urgent need of Palestine for
highly qualified professionals in professions related to
public affairs, i.e., the judicial and legal professions, the
public service, administrative jobs in non-profit NGOs, and
professions related to research and analysis of political
affairs. The law program seeks to provide graduates with
the necessary practical skills and professional ethics and
develop their analytical and critical thinking skills. The public
administration program is working to prepare students
to lead public institutions and non-profit organizations,
to understand and use different management tools, and
to develop a critical understanding of key concepts used
in policy and management analysis. The political science
program aspires to meet the growing need for political
science researchers and analysts to work in the public
sector and community-based institutions. In order to equip
students with competitiveness, the faculty gives students
the opportunity to combine a bachelor's degree in political
science as a major specialization and public administration,
economics, philosophy, women's studies or international
relations as a sub-specialization.
