‫‪John‬‬ ‫‪the‬‬ ‫‪Baptist‬‬
‫‪John‬‬ ‫‪the‬‬ ‫‪Baptist‬‬ ‫‪taught‬‬ ‫‪people‬‬ ‫‪that‬‬
‫‪the‬‬ ‫‪kingdom‬‬ ‫‪of‬‬ ‫‪God‬‬ ‫‪was‬‬ ‫‪near.‬‬
‫‪When‬‬ ‫‪Jesus‬‬ ‫‪also‬‬ ‫‪came‬‬ ‫‪to‬‬ ‫‪be‬‬
‫‪baptised,‬‬ ‫‪John‬‬ ‫‪wanted‬‬ ‫‪to‬‬ ‫‪be‬‬
‫‪baptised‬‬ ‫‪by‬‬ ‫‪Jesus,‬‬ ‫‪but‬‬ ‫‪Jesus‬‬
‫‪insisted‬‬ ‫‪that‬‬ ‫‪John‬‬ ‫‪baptise‬‬ ‫‪him.‬‬
‫‪Then‬‬ ‫‪a‬‬ ‫‪voice‬‬ ‫‪from‬‬ ‫‪heaven‬‬ ‫‪was‬‬
‫‪heard:‬‬ ‫‪“this‬‬ ‫‪is‬‬ ‫‪my‬‬ ‫‪Son‬‬ ‫‪whom‬‬ ‫‪I‬‬ ‫”‪love‬‬
