ԱՇԽԱՐՀԻ ՀԱՅ ԲԱՐԵՐԱՐՆԵՐԸ ARMENIAN PHILANTHROPISTS OF THE WORLD
Poghos Nubar ( Poghos Nubar Nubarian ) was born on August 2 1851 , in Constantinople . He descended from the famous Nubar dynasty . His father , Nubar Nubarian , was a famous statesman in Egypt . He held the positions of the Foreign Minister and Prime Minister of the country for several times . As a national politician , Nubar Pasha himself set an example for his son Poghos Nubar .
Poghos Nubar received his secondary education in Switzerland and then graduated from Engineering and Industrial department of the Central School in Paris , obtaining a degree in engineering-geometry . For some time , he worked in his specialist industry in French mines and railways . He was the director of the Railways Department of Egypt , developed the country ' s railway system .
