HEREKE
Antique carpets for diplomatic gifts were made of local silk . Gold and silver threads were often woven into the patterns . Carpets were small . The best traditions of the Ottoman Empire , art of the Safavid and Mughal epochs are used in iconography and ornamentation . The wide range of harmonized shades resembles the colours of Persian carpets .
BERGAM
Carpets are made of woolen thread . Main elements of the Ottoman Empire can be seen in the drawings and compositions . The local tradition comes from the ornament used in the Holbein Large Pattern carpets . Five geometrical figures with jagged shapes are located in the central field . The field colours are dark red and brick red . Blue is the main colour of the pattern and the background of the border . Other patterns are ivory .
