When the insured are not in a position to work due to various reasons, the state provides to the entitled individuals benefits which are payable under the relevant procedure and provided certain conditions are met. The rights of the insured are directly related to the type of social security to which they are liable under the provisions of the Social Insurance Code. Provided certain requirements are met, the insured are entitled to benefits and grants payable by the National Social Security Institute. Benefits and grants are being paid for periods, and in amounts, set out in the Ordinance on Working Hours, Rest Intervals and Holidays, the Ordinance on Medical Expertise, the Ordinance on Calculation and Payment of Benefits and Grants by the State Social Security.
