Dear Ms. Kiefer,
Dear Vladimir Imamovich,
Dear participants of the round table,
Ladies and gentlemen!
Let me sincerely welcome all the participants of the event and express deep gratitude to
one of the leading German political foundations - Friedrich Ebert Foundation and the Institute
for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the
preparation and conduct of today's event.
It gives me great pleasure to welcome Mr. Nils Annen, Minister of State at the German
Foreign Ministry, and to confirm my readiness to continue open, constructive and confidential
dialogue that has developed between the foreign affairs agencies of our countries on a wide
range of issues.
