NEWS Muraviovka Park Tatyana Bragina BSPU, Blagoveshchensk (Russia) Beyond the rules On September 16, 2018 the students from the faculty of foreign languages went to Muraviovka Park to work with children and teach them different techniques. For example, the so-called “Right-brained drawing technique” was presented as one of the master classes for the first time. This technique allows to reveal a child's creativity and takes his individual features into account. The main purpose of the master class was to develop figurative and abstract thinking among children. Everyone, regardless of his drawing skills or age, was given an opportunity to try himself in creating his own picture with the help of bright acrylic dyes, watercolors, brushes and water. The children drew only according to their own imagination, thoughts 7 SUNRISE and emotions while working. It was supposed to reject all the academic restrictions and r e q u i r e m e n t s . M o r e o v e r, t h e y o u n g participants were asked to think over the role of a selected color and its characteristics and meaning personally for each of them. The main subject which most of the children had chosen for their drawings was nature. During their work they were discussing a lot of things, such as the importance of maintaining natural resources or the ways of multiplying them. Using lots of colors and mixing patterns all the participants managed not only to prove themselves and their talents, but also to get some kind of cathartic experience because this technique also has a positive psychological effect in addition to its main purpose.
