EDUCATION
Studying in the USA

I think summer is the best season
because the weather is sunny and hot,
schools are finished and you have a great
opportunity for rest. Moreover, it`s time when
nature is amazing and beautiful. You can
spend your free time with friends, swimming in
warm water, riding a bicycle, rollerblading and
just enjoying sunsets.
I had a wonderful experience this
summer as I spent my holidays in Los-Angeles,
the USA. It`s a faraway country, on the other
side of the world. It's associated with
contrasts and great opportunities. The United
States of America is a country with rich culture
and fascinating history. A lot of different
mentalities and nations are mixed in America
and many people want to go to the USA to get
education, make a career or just see this
amazing place. There are 50 states and a lot
of big cities with dizzy skyscrapes such as
New-York, Miami, San- Francisco, Los-Angeles
and etc. I was lucky to visit California and I
should say that this state will leave a long
lasting impression in my soul and memory.
Why?
Only being there you may experience
such wonder as to wake up in the morning and
feel the ocean breeze, see the shining sun and
people's smiles. You know, California is the
best place for surfing and many people
indulge in this activity no matter whether they
are tourists or locals. When we arrived, people
were open to communication and expressed
their positive attitude to us. It was my first
journey to the United States that`s why such a
kind greeting was very valuable. In Los-Angeles
we lived in big and comfortable campuses
attached to the University. Every day students
had a lot of various events. For example, I do
remember bright concerts, when we could
listen to rising stars and sport competitions
which let us get acquainted with each other
better and win prizes. There wasn't any time to
be bored!
Speaking about our studies I want to
say, they were organized in the following way.
Every morning we had to attend classes where
we studied the English language. The bell rang
and the teacher entered the classroom. We
sat down at our tables, opened our textbooks
and the lesson began. During the lesson we
listened to the teacher, asked and answered
questions. The whole process had a relaxing
spirit and comfortable atmosphere. We learnt
to understand English speech because
students from different countries had their
own pronunciation of English realities and
intonation. Certainly, that was quite expected
as it is unavoidable when it comes to
foreigners studying other languages.
