III
И он запел о дальних звездных странах,
О витязях Рассвета и Огня,
Которые, снося плевки и раны,
Живут среди людей, Огонь храня.
And he sang out of distant starry lands,
Of warriors of Dawn and Fire,
Who, though submitting to both spats and wounds,
Preserve the Fire - living among us all the while.
О крыльях света, что имеет каждый,
Прикованных и скрытых до поры.
О крыльях, что раскроются однажды
И унесут нас в звездные миры.
He sang of wings of light in everyone's possession.
"Wings tethered, "covered till the ripe moment.
Of wings that one day will unfold
And take us to those starry worlds.
Живой огонь несли слова поэта,
Над ним пульсировал, как пламя, нимб,
За ним сверкало зарево рассвета,
The poet's words proclaimed the fire of life,
A halo pulsed about him as a flame,
And on his heels glowed forth the dawning light,
И люди, подхватив крылатый гимн,
Все выше поднимались вслед за ним
На крыльях Истины, Любви и Света.
And people, catching the winged hymn,
Arose behind him higher, higher
On wings of Truth and Love and Light.

КОНЕЦ ПРОПОВЕДИ
SERMON'S END
Умолк потрясший проповедью мир.
Слова посеяны и в душах всходят.
Но люди ждут, молчат и не уходят,
И прорастают вверх, в живой эфир.
A world shaken by the sermon falls silent.
The seed is cast and grows within each soul.
But people wait, keep silent, don't depart,
And lift hearts upward into the vital ether.
На новых лицах - новые черты.
И нет в сердцах их злобы и порока.
И каждый, улыбаясь, шлет Пророку
Энергию Любви и Доброты.
Upon new faces now new features form.
And in their hearts no anger or defects.
And each with smiles sends the Prophet
Energies of Goodness and of Love.
И старый жрец его благодарил:
«Пророк от Бога, дух твой мудр и светел!..»
Пророк же улыбнулся и ответил:
«Но разве я все это говорил?
In gratitude the old priest said:
"God's Prophet, bright and wise your soul!.."
The Prophet smiled and answered so:
"You really think it I in truth who spoke?
Я лишь читал в своей и в ваших душах.
Я, как и вы, и вместе с вами слушал».
I only read what's written in our souls.
I, just as you, received the words evoked."
