Данная разработка может быть использована учителями и учащимися как обобщающий урок по теме «Культурная жизнь Британии». Разработка способствует формированию информационной и коммуникативной культуры, развитию навыков самостоятельной позновательной деятельности и учебной мотивации учащихся, уважительного отношения к культуре страны изучаемого языка. Ключевые слова: British Museum, The Royal National Theatre, London's National Gallery, Madam Tussaud, musical ‘Cats’. Цель: 1) развивать социокультурную компетенцию; 2) формировать систему ценностей; 3) развивать у учащихся уважение к другой культуре; 4) развивать у учащихся коммуникативную компетентность, навыки аудирования и чтения с извлечением информации. Ход мероприятия: 1. How do you think what the word Culture mean? (This word means set of traditions, customs, social norms, rules that regulate the behavior of those who live now, and transmitted to those who will live tomorrow.) We can say that Donetsk is a cultural city. Why? We have our own customs and traditions as well as theatres and museams where we can enrich our inner world and our cultural development. 2. Today we are going to speak about cultural life of Great Britan.We’ll speak about Great Brinain’s capital. Let’s start from London’s well-known museums. We’ve already spoken about the British Museum. We know that it is devided into several wings which represent the certain direction. One of the wings represents the paintings of English artists. What English painters do you know? The British Museum The main historical and archaeological museum of Great Britain and one of the largest museums in the world, created in 1753. Initially, the museum's collection of antiquities was collections from Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece and Assyria, and the collection is constantly updated with new exhibits. It also hosts various exhibitions. The basis of the British Library, which is part of the British Museum, made three collections: the collection of the famous British physician and naturalist Hanes Sloan, the collection of Count Robert Harley, as well as antiquarian Robert Cotton library.
