Between studied habitats there were differences in predominating families and species of Mesostigmata (Table 2). Table 2 – Predominating families (above 10% of community) and species (above 7% of community) of Mesostigmata in habitats studied within Bagno Stawek Reserve. Percentages given in brackets [10] Number of Families (%) Species (%) families Leucobryo-Pinetum Parasitidae (29.0) Veigaiidae (19.5) Rhodacaridae (18.0) 16 Trachytidae (12.6) Zerconidae (10.5) Molinio-Pinetum Parasitidae (27.0) Veigaiidae (26.4) Trachytidae 14 (13.8) Zerconidae (11.2) Vacciniouliginosi- Pinetum Parasitidae (39.9) Ascidae (14.4) 13 Laelapidae (13.2) Veigaiidae (11.1) Caricetumlasiocarpae Ascidae (94.6) 13 Paragamasus runciger (26.4) Rhodacarus coronatus (17.5) Veigaia nemorensis (18.3) Trachytes aegrota (12.1) Paragamasus runciger (22.9) Veigaia nemorensis (24.7) Trachytes aegrota (12.8) Zercon triangularis (7.8) Paragamasus runciger (34.1) Ololaelapsplacentula (12.1) Platyseiusitalicus (12.1) Prozerconkochi (7.2) Platyseius italicus (62.5) Cheiroseius borealis (14.5) In the Ascidae family the highest number of species(S=9) was recorded in fen while the lowest (S=3) in Leucobryo-Pinetum. The opposite trend was found in case of Parasitidae which were the most numerous in terms of species number in Leucobryo- Pinetum (S=14) while in the fen this family was poor in species (S=3). In terms of dominance Parasitidae, however, preferred the wet pine forest. The diversity of Rhodacaridae was shaped mainly by the Rhodacarus corontausw hich was abundant in Leucobryo-Pinetum while in other studied habitats its abundance was significantly lower. Veigaiidae, Trachytidae and Zerconidae were the most abundant in Leucobryo- Pinetum and their lowest abundance was recorded in the fen, however, the dominance of Trachytidae and Zerconidae was slightly higher in the moist pine forest when compared to fresh pine forest. Four groups of species habitat preference were found in Mesostigmata communities inhabiting Bagno Stawek Reserve: Parazerconradiatus, Rhodacarus coronatus, Trachytes aegrota, Paragamasus runciger and Veigaia 356
