DISTRIBUTION AREA OF AN EAR HEDGE HEMIECHINUS AURITUS
IN THE WESTERN KAZAKHSTAN REGION
The issue of conservation of steppe ecosysytems has recently received close
attention. Since, first of all, they suffer from permanent anthropogenic impact. In
this article, we analyzed and mapped the habitat of the eared hedgehob
Hemiechinus auritus in the West Kazakhstan region as a typical tepresentative of
the steppes. The area of its distribution is plotted on the map based on literature
data and own field studies.
