Phyli Fortress and Dema Wall

Phyli Fortress
The Fortress is at an altitude of 650 m. northwest of Parness. Based here, Thrasivoulos and Athenian
democrats overturned the reign of the Thirty Tyrants from their city.
Ancient Wall of Dema – Between the Municipalities of Aspropyrgos and
Phyli
It is near Ano Liosia – Phyli Cemetery, close to the recycle plant, in the narrow passage between
Parness and Poikilon. The 4.5 km stone wall was built in 400 BCE.
