We left the country of Laestrygonas with the giant
and cannibal people, barely managing to save my
ship and arrived, with only one boat anymore, at
Aia, where the witch goddess Circe lived. I separated
the mates into two groups. I was the leader of the first
and Evrylochos of the other. The second group was
drawn to go for exploration. When they arrived at
Circe’s palace, she offered them magical maze, to
forget their homeland, and with her magic wand
transformed them into pigs. Only Evrylochos ran out
and brought me the terrible news. Then I rushed there
immediately
despite
the
advice
of
Evrylochos.
Enroute Hermes gave me anti herb on addressing the
