OCTAGON

The Octagon is a part of Galerius Palace complex. The internal has seven niches, a large hall and circular platforms, floor with diameter 30 meters covered with marble slabs. At the Southeast part it was found the Nymphaea so it was revealed that it was a place of worship. The Octagon and each two niches hall were joined with the sea via a portico and a big peristyle. Perhaps, this two levels’ building with rich decoration, it is the throne room of the Tetrarch.
