There was a little girl named Martha who lived with her family in Africa . She was only 13 years old and she had a very hard life . She had an older brother named William and he was helping their father with the crops . It was summer and there was no rain . The soil was dry . They had run out of food and water and they didn ’ t have money to buy anything . Finally , one day the weather was good and it rained . They were happy but then suddenly , the rain stopped . It didn ’ t help the soil . But the girl managed to save a drop in a glass . Martha was extremely happy and proud of herself . Not seeing rain for months , the girl was very happy that she had saved a drop in her glass . She went to her family and everyone looked very grateful for the girl who had managed to save the drop even though the rain didn ’ t last for long . They sat and admired the drop for hours …
We need to appreciate those little things . Don ’ t waste water . Some people suffer from droughts ... If we don ’ t stop wasting water now ... in the future we won ’ t have enough water to survive . Let ’ s all appreciate the natural gifts we have !
