John Constable
John Constable ( 11 June 1776 – 31 March 1837 ) was an English landscape painter in the romantic tradition . Born in Suffolk , he is known principally for revolutionising the genre of landscape painting with his pictures of DEDHAM VALE , the area surrounding his home – now known as “ Constable Country ” – which he invested with an intensity of affection . “ I should paint my own places best ”, he wrote to his friend John Fisher in 1821 , “ painting is but another word for feeling ”.

The International Water Day has been organized every year since 1992 , when it was first established in a UN-meeting which took place in Rio De Janeiro , Brazil . It is celebrated every year on 22nd March and it offers a great deal of events , one of which is the big conference in Athens about the water use in the city . The conference is entitled : « Το νερό για την πόλη και η πόλη για το νερό » and this year it is taking place via internet . The message this event is conveying is the value of water and the need for environmental actions to save it . This year it is analyzing the problem of the limited underground water stocks which are becoming more and more rare as time goes by . The reason seems to be the overconsumption of water and the sea pollution that transform the drinkable water to undrinkable .
